Donation refund policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. General principle

This Refund Policy explains how Helping War Victims handles donation-related refund requests and payment support matters.

Donations made to the fund are voluntary contributions in support of its mission. As a general rule, donations are final.

If a donor made a mistake or needs help with a payment-related issue, please contact the fund directly first.

2. Contact for refund and payment support

For refund requests, mistaken payments, or other donation-related payment support, please contact:

If you are not sure where to write, you may also contact:

contact@warvictimsfund.com

3. Information to include in your request

To help us review your request, please include:

Providing clear and accurate information helps us review the matter more effectively.

4. Review of refund requests

Refund requests are reviewed individually based on the specific circumstances of each case and the information available to the fund.

A submitted request does not automatically result in a refund. Each matter is assessed separately.

5. Approved refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be sent only to the original payment method used for the donation.

The fund does not send approved refunds to a different card, bank account, wallet, or other destination, even if requested.

6. Refund timing

If a refund is approved, the time it takes for the funds to appear may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or payment method used.

For that reason, the fund does not guarantee a fixed refund timeline in every case.

7. Crypto transfers

Crypto transfers should be treated separately from standard card or payment-method donations.

Crypto transfers are usually irreversible. Before sending any crypto donation, the donor should carefully verify the correct wallet address and the correct network.

A transfer sent to the wrong address or through the wrong network may not be recoverable.

8. Disputes and chargebacks

If you have a dispute or chargeback concern, please contact the fund directly first before escalating the matter through your bank or card issuer.

If a formal dispute is opened through a bank or card issuer, the case will proceed through the relevant provider and payment-network process.

9. Payment processing

Donations to the fund may be processed through Stripe-hosted payment infrastructure rather than directly on the website itself.

This means that payment handling, refund handling, and dispute handling are also subject to the applicable Stripe rules, requirements, and processes used by the payment system serving the fund.
